The Boston travel planner has a resource available to them that's rarely thought of when planning. Hotel, Airfare and rental car. Those are the staples. But people rarely, or at least I don't, plan routes to all the different places that I'm going to be going to. Public Routes offers directions from the front door of the travelers hotel to wherever it is they're needing to go.
And for the eco friendly traveler they take public transportation into consideration with all their routes. Public Routes is also a complete travel site offering flights, hotels and more, in addition to traffic alerts.
So the next time your traveling utilize Public Routes.com.

I'm at a loss.
How is it that people find so many things to blog about? I have my few lucid moments where I have something that actually means something to put in here but most of the time I'm just rambling about whatever comes to mind. Constantly trying to get into a flow that's both interesting and desirable to the average reader. I would love to be one of those that just sits down and starts typing and the thoughts flow like water never ending. To be one of those that's forced to wrap up at the end because it's gone on much too long. And for it to be easy to do. Not something that's forced or otherwise. Oh well. I'll continue my Random Ramblings of this Mommy Bug and hopefully you'll continue to read.

Happy Hump Day!
Well we've all made it half way through another week. On my end there's been no drama and no injuries. Whoo! That's a record when compared to the last month or so.
I head to Beaumont tomorrow. I am taking my day without the Bug if it kills me. I'm going to shop without him hanging on me or constantly having to worry if he's run off somewhere or Mommy! I have to go potty. I'm not going to buy anything, if you can believe that. I'm just going to enjoy being myself. Not Grayson's Mommy for a few hours. I think I might but a book and just go sit and read it. Oh that would be nice. Not having to remind him that it's rude to try and carry on a conversation with someone while they're reading. LOL
Tomorrow is my friend Becca's 25th birthday! OMG. It seems like just yesterday I met her and she was only 17. LOL Now she's an old Momma with 2 kids. J/K.
Happy Birthday Becca! Love you girl!

Cars Cars Cars
My son is addicted to Cars. I think that he really is. Every time we see a red car it's Lightning McQueen. Every time we see a blue car it's Sally. All tow trucks are Mater. It's pretty bad. He's incredibly random and you could be having a conversation with him about whatever might be the topic at hand and he's going to come back with something about Cars. He has Cars toys, shoes, shirts. Everything you can think of Cars he's got it. Needless to say I am ready to pull my hair out. It was horrible before the movie even came out he wanted to watch the preview non stop. LOL So he would watch the preview 4-5 times a day and keep asking for more!
So I am boycotting Cars. he's watching it one more time today and then that's it. No more for at least a week. AHHHHHHHHHHH!
Pay Per Post Direct
Blogging is becoming more and more popular as the net continues to grow. And with the popularity of the Blog becoming what it is advertisers are tapping into that resource to spread the news about their product.
Advertisers can go about this several ways. One of which is Pay Per Post Direct. Pay Per Post Direct enables their advertisers to find the blogger that they want to talk about their product. They then contact the blogger with the information they want discussed and the blogger is on their way to making even more money.
With this service Pay Per Post does charge a 10% fee, as they are bringing the company to you. 5% of that fee charged, per blog, then goes to the fees that they have to pay for Pay Pal and Credit Card Processing. Other sites such as Review Me charge 50% of the bloggers fee for this same service. The range of fees for these blogs with this particular site are anywhere from $40 - $500. The blogger would then receive anywhere from $20 - $200. I know the math isn't exactly right but that's what they tell people.
I don't know about you but I feel like Pay Per Post is the better deal. I already really enjoy working with them and this is just another simple way for me to continue that relationship. I posted a link on my blog advertising that I am a pay Per Post Direct participator and I am ready to go.
I've told you about blogging for Pay Per Post and getting paid for reviewing my posts. So take a look. Become a paid blogger and take advantage of the latest way to make money for what we already do.
Rain Rain Go Away!
it has rained every day this weekend. Blah blah blah.
It started Saturday. Woke up thinking we were going to have a nice quiet day of sitting on the porch, Grayson playing, just talking and enjoying. Yeah it rained. Blech. Got down to it and Grayson was running in the mud. His cars shoes, that I previously blogged about, covered in mud. Ick ick ick. So got him bathed and in the house and started the don't fall asleep fight. After dinner is was to bed with the Bug. Got a sitter and went to Big Texas with some friends.
Fun! I didn't get home and in bed until 6. Blah! LOL Which meant only 3 1/2 hours of sleep before getting up with the Bug. He ran hard all day. Again. Got him in a and bathed around 1 or so to head to John's for some hangin on the porch.
Today we're bbq'ng some ribs and running in the mud again. After the weekend Grayson should hate baths.
Happy Memorial Day everyone! Hope it's a great one.

Terry's Fabrics
Blinds are a part of home decor that we all have to consider at some point, whether we're decorating our own place or replacing some that have been damaged in a rental property. Well I don't know about you but I like something a liitle more stylish then just the white plastic stuff you can get at Wal Mart.
Terry's Fabrics has every style you can think of. Verticle, Wooden, Roman, Venetian. I really like the Wooden blinds and they have several different varieties. Not to mention size and color.
Terry's also sells bedding, draperies, rugs. Everything you could need to accent any room. Click on over and take a look. That's Terry's Fabrics.
Blah!
Well. My throat had stopped for a little bit but it's back and going at full force. Blech. I hate my tonsils, but if a doc were to take them out now it would be so crappy. The surgery is supposed to be really nasty for an adult and I know of several people that have had a lot of complications after a tonsilectomy as an adult. Yep. Not for me. I'll deal with the antibiotics and pain killers.
I hope everyone is going to have a great Memorial Day weekend. I was supposed to go to Athens for a something that we have every year at Shelby Chapel. Shelby Chapel is a little country church, think Little House on the Prairie, with a cemetary in the back where my Mother is buried. The land for the church was donated by my Great Great Great Great Grandmother. I think. Here's a history.
Shelby Chapel Church and Cemetery - Athens
James Madison Shelby (1814-1889), a native of North Carolina, moved with
his large family from Alabama to Texas in the 1870s. They first lived in Smith County,
then moved to southeastern Henderson County. There they established a Presbyterian
church named Morrison Chapel for the minister who preached there. Services were held
in the home of James and Amanda Ann Henderson Shelby until a small building was
erected. Church members buried their loved ones in an adjoining cemetery. James
Madison Shelby was interred in Morrison Chapel Cemetery upon his death. The
extended Shelby family relocated again in 1891, this time to an area three miles
northeast of the center of Athens. Amanda Ann Henderson Shelby lived with her
daughter and son-in-law, Jeff Decal and Susan Ella Shelby Horn. Mrs. Shelby
gave the Horns seven acres of land, reserving two acres for a Presbyterian church
and cemetery. Religious services were held in the Horn home until Thomas Dunklin,
another Shelby son-in-law, received the contract to construct a church building
called Shelby Chapel in 1895. Amanda A. Shelby died in 1896 and was interred
with her husband. The first burial in Shelby Chapel Cemetery was that of J. D. and
Susan Horn's infant son in 1897. Shelby Chapel and the Athens Cumberland
Presbyterian Church were united between 1901 and 1905. The church remained
Presbyterian until 1964 when it became a non-denominational community church.
Many armed forces veterans are interred here, including Confederate soldiers.
Members of Shelby Chapel and their descendants continue to be interred in the
cemetery, which remains as a chronicle of area settlers.
This was written around the time that it was made a historical landmark. Well anyway every year there's a picnic and cleaning and we like to go when we can but this year with gas prices like they are it's just not possible. Oh well. There's always next year. I hope everyone is well.

Prepaid Calling Cards
Pingo.com is a virtual International rechargeable phone calling card service.
My son has extended family in Brazil and just check out the Brazil calling card rates.
They offer $5 in free calling just for signing up and for every person you refer you get $5 in free calling as well. I personally like to have a back up to my cell phone. You just never know when something is going to happen.
Take for instance my last trip to the beach. My phone got wet and wasn't functioning. I couldn't make calls out or receive the calls that were coming in. had something happened I would have had to make a collect phone call to someone in order to get help. If I had had a calling card that wouldn't have been a problem.
So head on over and check it out. They have really affordable rates and even offer an auto reload feature to make your life that much easier. So head on over. Pingo.com is the premier prepaid calling card provider on the net today.
Fiber and Water!
I Love that I've realized the wonders of water and fiber. I started out this week getting back to my water everyday, about 100 ounces to be exact, and my fiber. We're supposed to get between 25 and 30 grams of fiber a day. Well since Monday I've lose about 5 lbs. Whoo Hoo. I'm flushing everything out and getting back on track. When you're sure to get in the right nutrients you can be a little more lax with your diet. I mean I'm still really watching the portions and staying away from the fast food, and the fried foods as much as possible but it's not so hard to eat right when you're getting what your body needs.
I was on the stationary bike as planned today for 25 minutes, and the stability ball work will be later. I'll start posting some progress pics once I start to see more progress.

Win a Date with a Celebrity!
Free videos at GoFish.com
Now the reality shows have moved to the web. The latest is just what the blog title says. Win a Date with a Celebirty, more specifcally Mirelly Taylor. Actress, Mirelly Taylor, has appeared on movies such as Kiss Me Again and Serving Sara and television shows including “Las Vegas”, “Punk’d”, and “Numb3rs”.
You can check out the video below to get an idea of what it is she's looking for if this might be something that you're interested in. Men from all over the country are submitting hilarious videos for you to check out. You get to vote for the ones that you like best and when they're narrowed down to 3 she'll pick the one that she likes the best.
I'm going to be checking back periodically because of the few videos I've checked out so far they are hilarious. She's also posting new vidoes with host Andrew Firestone challenging the guys to do different things. I can't wait to see how this plays out.
Just Stuff.
Working Out
I continued with working out yesterday. Did the stationary bike yesterday for 25 minutes and I love the feeling after you get off of one of those. It doesn't leave you completely out of breath and just overly tired. But you can really tell once you get up how hard you've been working.
I did my crunches and leg extensions with the ball and tried with the back extensions but my abs were killing me so I saved those for today.
Blech!
I think I'm getting sick. My throat started hurting last night and it's still hurting. I don't know if I'm getting strep or tonsillitis or what. But it can go away. I hate it when I get either or both of those. That's happened before. So yes I'll stay away from you until it's gone and I hope it goes away soon.

Bug - The Movie!
I am excited about this movie. There's not much that I like better then a good horror movie. They don't scare me but I love the suspense of it all. I also really like Ashley Judd. She's great in anything she's in so this is going to be a treat for me.
What I really can't wait to see is how they make the Bug's thing believable.
Spooky. I can't wait.
I love this poster. Gives you an idea of what Ashley is up against. This poster gives you an idea of what's in store while focusing on the main character. It also gives you an idea of just how dark this movie is; what we as the viewer have to look forward too.
This one gives a little different view of the movie. This one lets you know that there's someone else effecting the outcome. Kind of a lurker in the shadows. Is this person going to add to the darkness and overall horror of it all or are they going to be the comic relief. With Harry Connick Jr you just never know what you're going to get.
So check out the movie. And I'll see you there.
bug movie
Gotta Love the Burn!
I started working out again last night. I did my crunches on the stability ball last night and boy can I tell it today. I also got on the stationary bike for about 25 minutes earlier today and felt so good when I was done. My legs are a big part of what I want to tone up and I think that the bike is really going to help. I'm adding in leg and back extensions to my crunches tonight and maybe even some bridges. Wish me luck that I can start seeing the results I was enjoying a couple of months ago.
I Heart Pay Per Post!
The title of this blog says it all. I really heart Pay Per Post. I've recently started using my blog to make some money on the side and I am loving it. It's really easy and hopefully it's going to earn my child care money each week. I have a 4 year old that goes to daycare and sometimes I just hate having to pay that money. So this is a great opportunity for me to earn extra money. All I have to do is check out the opportunities, pick one I want to blog about and follow the simple instructions.
I've been signed up for less then a week and I've already made $30. That's from only 4 blogs. So give it a try. Viral marketing is the wave of the future and I intend to continue to benefit from it.
It's Tuesday!
It's a rainy Tuesday Morning and there's not much going on. Grayson is playing overly loudly in the next room and I'm hungry. No clue what it is I want to eat. But I need to eat. Got to keep with the somewhat healthy lifestyle so I can be hot. I used to skip breakfast completely which isn't good I'm told. LOL
Which brings me to another thought that I've had ricocheting through my mind for the last couple of months. As most of you know I had a c section when I had my Bug and if any of you have had one or seen what they can do it's not pretty. I mean I'm not grotesque or anything but I would really like to have a nice flat tummy. So I am researching and considering a tummy tuck. Obviously this is something that one doesn't go into lightly. I would start my research on the web just to get an idea of the docs and facilities that are in the Houston area. Plastic surgery isn't something that I know about so that's where I would have to start. Once I had a list I would start making phone calls to the necessary organizations to find out what I needed to know. I have to say that some of this may not be necessary. A certain friend put a Bug in my ear about Dr Nikko and everything I've heard about him he's wonderful.
So my question is this. If you were in the same situation as me would you consider plastic surgery to achieve your goals. As you can tell from my previous post I am taking the first step. I am getting better and better at eating right and I'm working out. But I'm just looking for an opinion.

Online Coupons
coupon codes through Coupon Chief .com is the latest service I've found to save money when shopping on the net. I don't know about you but I am always looking for a deal and this site lists them for you.
I was looking for some deals on children's clothing so I decided to take advantage of the Target coupon code $5 off of $50. I simply selected the offer and I was directed to the site. After I selected the items that I wanted I went to check out and the savings were already calculated. I didn't have to remember and enter a coupon code or anything.
I plan on checking for coupon codes and deals on everything I shop on line for in the future.
Back on Track......Well Somewhat!
For those of you that know me I'm on the way to a healthier lifestyle and a slimmer figure. I started my hourney at 225 and got down to 195 before totally falling off the wagon. LOL
But today I got back on track. Well....somewhat. I made sure to get in all my fiber and my water. I exercised on the stability ball and even did some on the stationary bike. Bug woke up before I could finish so I didn't finish the full 20 minutes. But tomorrow I'll get it in.
Just putting this out there to sort of make myself accountable. I want to be at least a 9 before my high school reunion. It's 10 years this year! Wish me luck.
Bidz 4 Prizes
lowest bid is a fun new site where you can bid for prizes. Sounds a little weird huh? But it's not. You're not paying for anything. Simply sign up and select the prize that you would like to win. Update on my Bug's Knee!
After 3 horrible days of trying to keep the Bug sitting quietly in the house with a straight knee, and 2 uneventful days of letting him play outside, then an entire fun filled weeked spent with Daddy his knee is looking a lot better.
Both little scratches are pink and there's no more need for butterflies. I just add a little neosporin everyday to continue with the speedy healing and to help with the scar. I know. On boys scars are cool but I would like to keep them to a minimum so that he doesn't look abused.

To Dye or not to Dye?
Ok. So I'm looking at the pics that I have posted on here and I'm having hair envy. Of myself. LOL I have recently given in the blonde. I haven't dyed my hair since September or October of last year and I'm beginning to get that itch again. For a long time I've wanted brown hair. I'm not sure why. It most likely has something to do with the fact that I love light eyes with darker hair and dark eyes with lighter hair. Well after several attempts to darken my hair I gave up. I gave into the blonde. But I have to say that after more then 25 years of being blonde I am just plain tired of it. So everyone give me opinions. Should I give into the urge and go and find myself a hair color that I can live with until I get the urge to itch that scratch again? Or should I just let it grow and stick with what I've got?

Why? Why? Why?
Why is it that little boys don't seem to hear a word that you say? I know. Little girls are probably the same way. So I'll change that to 4 year olds? Why is it that 4 year olds don't seem to hear a word you say?
So here it is. My Bug is going through something. He's asserting his independence. He's in the terribe fours. He's jsut a little brat. I don't know. But he's being a trud. Lately, and for quite a while now, he's not been listening to anything I say. For some time he would listen to Chad. If I was just at my wits end I could get Daddy on the phone and he would put the fear of God in him with but a few words. Yeah he's not listening to him anymore either.
So the point of all this is we were at a friends where he loves to play on the trampoline. Well he had been playing there previously and his little ankle had gotten pinched in the spring. There was a huge chunk out of his ankle and it gushed.
So he'd been out there again the next day and the scab got knocked off. Gushing. Again.
So both times I got it cleaned up then sent him out to get his shoes and he was done on the trampoline for the day. So the 2nd day is the same and I sit down to help with dinner while he goes to get his shoes. I get 1 done and hear him screaming on the back porch. I go and check to see that there is yet another part of his body bleeding. Ahhhhhhhhhh! Why?
I get him up and run him to the sink to assess the damage. His knee is busted open. Ahhhhh. There's one ok scratch. Peroxide, Neosporin and a bandaid and it's fine. But he has one gash that's just gushing! Ahhhhhhh! Luckily there's really only one area that really needs a stitch so I just clean it good and butterfly it. So he's peroxided a few times, butterflied, triple antibioticed and bandaged. I set him on the couch to watch cartoons with a straight knee. Then later that night at Wal Mart he's treated to a giant chocolate milk. Yum!
Well the next day the fun began. I spent the next 12-18 hours trying to keep his knee straight. I'm not worried so much about everday activity. Just the running and playing which inevitably ends up crawling around wherever he might be playing.
This went on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. Well.....Wednesday I gave up. He went out to play yesterday and today. His knee has stayed closed and everything looks to be healing nicely. Yea!
But the reason for this blog is that I am gray now. I was so concerned that the knee was going to get infected or what not that I worried myself gray in less then a week. LOL
Not really but I feel like it. His knee is getting better and we're not even putting butterflies on it anymore. But can someone please answer me why?

Flip Flop
I love the things that come out of the mouth of my Bug. He comes up with the most random things to say. He also has some of the strangest reasoning that comes to mind.
We were recently getting ready to run out somewhere and he's got these adorable leather flip flops. Which are constantly lost. But the point of this is we were looking for them and he's running around talking to himself about finding his flip flops. I'm running around looking for them as well and I hear him walking down the hallway saying,
"I've got my Flop. Now where's my Flip."
LOL So cute. I never thought of it that way. I've never thought to call one or the other. They were both just flip flops. LOL
So there's the random Bug thought of the day!
There's not much else going on in my life. Just living and loving my Bug and waiting for the next turn. Love all of you.
