To Dye or not to Dye?

Ok. So I'm looking at the pics that I have posted on here and I'm having hair envy. Of myself. LOL I have recently given in the blonde. I haven't dyed my hair since September or October of last year and I'm beginning to get that itch again. For a long time I've wanted brown hair. I'm not sure why. It most likely has something to do with the fact that I love light eyes with darker hair and dark eyes with lighter hair. Well after several attempts to darken my hair I gave up. I gave into the blonde. But I have to say that after more then 25 years of being blonde I am just plain tired of it. So everyone give me opinions. Should I give into the urge and go and find myself a hair color that I can live with until I get the urge to itch that scratch again? Or should I just let it grow and stick with what I've got?

Why? Why? Why?

Why is it that little boys don't seem to hear a word that you say? I know. Little girls are probably the same way. So I'll change that to 4 year olds? Why is it that 4 year olds don't seem to hear a word you say?

So here it is. My Bug is going through something. He's asserting his independence. He's in the terribe fours. He's jsut a little brat. I don't know. But he's being a trud. Lately, and for quite a while now, he's not been listening to anything I say. For some time he would listen to Chad. If I was just at my wits end I could get Daddy on the phone and he would put the fear of God in him with but a few words. Yeah he's not listening to him anymore either.

So the point of all this is we were at a friends where he loves to play on the trampoline. Well he had been playing there previously and his little ankle had gotten pinched in the spring. There was a huge chunk out of his ankle and it gushed.

So he'd been out there again the next day and the scab got knocked off. Gushing. Again.

So both times I got it cleaned up then sent him out to get his shoes and he was done on the trampoline for the day. So the 2nd day is the same and I sit down to help with dinner while he goes to get his shoes. I get 1 done and hear him screaming on the back porch. I go and check to see that there is yet another part of his body bleeding. Ahhhhhhhhhh! Why?

I get him up and run him to the sink to assess the damage. His knee is busted open. Ahhhhh. There's one ok scratch. Peroxide, Neosporin and a bandaid and it's fine. But he has one gash that's just gushing! Ahhhhhhh! Luckily there's really only one area that really needs a stitch so I just clean it good and butterfly it. So he's peroxided a few times, butterflied, triple antibioticed and bandaged. I set him on the couch to watch cartoons with a straight knee. Then later that night at Wal Mart he's treated to a giant chocolate milk. Yum!

Well the next day the fun began. I spent the next 12-18 hours trying to keep his knee straight. I'm not worried so much about everday activity. Just the running and playing which inevitably ends up crawling around wherever he might be playing.

This went on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. Well.....Wednesday I gave up. He went out to play yesterday and today. His knee has stayed closed and everything looks to be healing nicely. Yea!

But the reason for this blog is that I am gray now. I was so concerned that the knee was going to get infected or what not that I worried myself gray in less then a week. LOL

Not really but I feel like it. His knee is getting better and we're not even putting butterflies on it anymore. But can someone please answer me why?

Flip Flop

I love the things that come out of the mouth of my Bug. He comes up with the most random things to say. He also has some of the strangest reasoning that comes to mind.

We were recently getting ready to run out somewhere and he's got these adorable leather flip flops. Which are constantly lost. But the point of this is we were looking for them and he's running around talking to himself about finding his flip flops. I'm running around looking for them as well and I hear him walking down the hallway saying,

"I've got my Flop. Now where's my Flip."

LOL So cute. I never thought of it that way. I've never thought to call one or the other. They were both just flip flops. LOL

So there's the random Bug thought of the day!

There's not much else going on in my life. Just living and loving my Bug and waiting for the next turn. Love all of you.

Back Again.

So sorry. I've been slacking on my blog duties. LOL I know that all of you have been just salivating awaiting another blog from myself.

Ok....You can stop laughing now.

I don't have anything insightful or otherwise to blog about today. Just everyday stuff that will most likely ave you drooling on your keyboard before you get past this sentence.

Things are good. Grayson is still a toot but when is that going to change. We had a pretty good weekend. Started out just hanging around the house n Beaumont as it's Daddy's weekend. Then Sunday we headed for Spring for a Back the Badge Benefit at the local Hooters. Our friends Misty and John provided the music and there were motorcycles everywhere! Whoo Hoo! We got some great pics of Grayson on our friends Carl's bike both alone and with Daddy. Even Stephen made an appearance just 2 days after his surgery. There was also a band providing some good ole southern and biker rock and Grayson was jamming. He is the new king of air guitar. LOL

After that was over, a lot of the bikers left early because they thought that it was going to rain, we headed to Misty and Johns to relax on the back porch and let the kids run out the last of their energy.

And now I'm back in Beaumont until Wednesday. Then it's back to Spring.

Hope everything is well with everyone and I promise, as I have before but I really mean it this time, I will keep this better up to date.

The Stupidity that is Leiann.

OK. So I blogged a couple months ago about the wonder that is the internet. I was ecstatic that I was able to renew my license on the internet and keep my 22 year old drivers license photo! Yeah. Well I shouldn't have spoken so soon.

Last Thursday I had gone to pick my nephew up from school then to pick something up from my brother in law. I stopped to get gas and went in to pay for the gas. Ya know pay before you pump. Well I never have to do this but I happened to have some cash on me so I used it. My nephew was in the truck so I left my purse and took my wallet.

I came back out and started pumping the gas and like the insanely stupid person that I was at that very moment I put my wallet on the roof of my truck. I even made sure to think to myself remember to get it down because you don't want to lose it. Argh. I didn't. I leftit up there and drove away.

I went on to get what I needed from my brother in law and was about to stop and get my nephew and myself a drink when I started looking for my wallet. It wasn't there. Argh. I just happened to be by the station that I had just stopped at so I went in and looked where I had filled up. Nothing. Went in and nothing had been turned in. So the back tracking began. Yea! I got to drive entirely too slow down Kuykendahl and some other road where people were going around me, to stare at the muddy ditches and see if I can see it. Well......I didn't. It was gone.

Luckily I realized that it was gone really soon after losing it so I was able to get everything cancelled with in about an hour of losing it so no money was lost. But then I still had to have the cards replaced, which I still haven't received, and then I had to go yesterday to replace my drivers license and my social security card. Which I never carry my social security card in my wallet. I just happened to need it that day so that's where it was.

I have to say that getting the drivers license and ss card replaced was really painless. In and out of both places in less then 30 minutes. Even my 4 year old was nice and good while waiting. No whining and screaming out things that I would really rather other people not know.

So I've learned not to brag about getting to keep things like my 22 year old drivers license photo because it will soon be gone! LOL

Drive Thrus!

I hate them. I'll start with that. Well I should correct that to say that I hate them in Beaumont.

Yes it's my bi weekly trip to Beaumont and I get here to find that Daddy has gone to Sonic about the time we are supposed to get here and forgot about us. So that leaves me to figure out something for dinner for the 2 of us. Grayson and myself that is. And it's a bachelor pad so there is nothing in the kitchen. Yea! So off to get food.

Now mind you when I was here the last time I tried for Sonic. I pulled up and pushed the button and waited. I usually always have someone answer within 2 minutes or so. I waited 15 minutes and no one answered. EVER! I was so ticked. I even pushed the button about every 5 minutes to remind them that I was there and not so much as Could you hold please? Argh! So I go on to McDonalds and get what I want figuring that this is just a Sonic thing. WRONG!

I want Chinese. Easy enough. Well Grayson isn't a huge fan of Chinese and I have to fight with him to get him to eat it. So Burger King it is so he can have a Sponge Bob toy! I start with Burger King because it's the furthest away and I figured I would get mine on the way back. His was really fast. Got in got out. So I head to get my dinner. I pull up and sit for a couple minutes and the car in front of me drives away. OK whatever. So they changed their minds right? Wrong.

I pulled up to the talking box and sit. I'm sitting mind you with the door open, because a certain someone fried my windows, and my leg propped on the open door waiting for them to take my order. All the while on the phone. I look down at the clock and realize that I've been sitting there for about 10 minutes. Hello? I start griping to the box. NO ONE and I mean NO ONE has even asked me to hold on. I keep griping at th box much to the dismay of the person on the other end of the phone. Well I finally get fed up and drive away.

Surely the next one will be better right? Wrong. I finally settle on Taco Bell and sit in line for a good 20minute before ordering then wait another 15 to get my food. Argh. I should have just had a Whopper.

So in short. When going to Beaumont don't count on a fast drive thru experience unless going to McDonalds or Burger King. I'll keep you posted on the other establishments as I try them.
