I hate them. I'll start with that. Well I should correct that to say that I hate them in Beaumont.
Yes it's my bi weekly trip to Beaumont and I get here to find that Daddy has gone to Sonic about the time we are supposed to get here and forgot about us. So that leaves me to figure out something for dinner for the 2 of us. Grayson and myself that is. And it's a bachelor pad so there is nothing in the kitchen. Yea! So off to get food.
Now mind you when I was here the last time I tried for Sonic. I pulled up and pushed the button and waited. I usually always have someone answer within 2 minutes or so. I waited 15 minutes and no one answered. EVER! I was so ticked. I even pushed the button about every 5 minutes to remind them that I was there and not so much as Could you hold please? Argh! So I go on to McDonalds and get what I want figuring that this is just a Sonic thing. WRONG!
I want Chinese. Easy enough. Well Grayson isn't a huge fan of Chinese and I have to fight with him to get him to eat it. So Burger King it is so he can have a Sponge Bob toy! I start with Burger King because it's the furthest away and I figured I would get mine on the way back. His was really fast. Got in got out. So I head to get my dinner. I pull up and sit for a couple minutes and the car in front of me drives away. OK whatever. So they changed their minds right? Wrong.
I pulled up to the talking box and sit. I'm sitting mind you with the door open, because a certain someone fried my windows, and my leg propped on the open door waiting for them to take my order. All the while on the phone. I look down at the clock and realize that I've been sitting there for about 10 minutes. Hello? I start griping to the box. NO ONE and I mean NO ONE has even asked me to hold on. I keep griping at th box much to the dismay of the person on the other end of the phone. Well I finally get fed up and drive away.
Surely the next one will be better right? Wrong. I finally settle on Taco Bell and sit in line for a good 20minute before ordering then wait another 15 to get my food. Argh. I should have just had a Whopper.
So in short. When going to Beaumont don't count on a fast drive thru experience unless going to McDonalds or Burger King. I'll keep you posted on the other establishments as I try them.

The Serenity Prayer!
There's a line from the movie Step Mom that got me to thinking about my Bug. There's a part in the movie, as there are many, where Julia Roberts character is talking to Susan Sarandon's about the kids. Susan tells Julia about how Ben, the son, was born. About how he was born in 2 hours and his blanket looked like cape. When Julia asks Susan about his sister this is what she says,
"28 hours. The doctors wanted to go in and get her, but I knew she'd come at her own time. You can never rush her."
Now while I wasn't in labor for this amount of time this does apply to Grayson. At times I've called him the worlds slowest human being, slower then Christmas and many other things. But this is true of my little Bug.
Grayson is going to come to things in his own time. You can't rush him. That's just how he is.
He didn't sit up on his own until he was 9 months old. Which means that he didn't crawl until just before this, or pull up on furniture until just after this. Many other babies are doing these things far beyond this age. And while this may be attributed to the care that he was receiving, the baby sitter never put him down. Ever! In fact there are whisperings of her medicating him so that she could sleep all day, I digres. The point of this is that he's going to come into things in his own time and in his own way. And no matter how much I want him to scurry into that car seat it's just not going to happen. I may as well just put him in there myself.
So I will just keep repeating the serenity prayer in my head until he either moves out or decides to light a fire under it. I'm sure the moving out will come sooner but hey. I can dream can't I?

Goodbye Slideshow Players of the Past!
And I mean just that. Fliptrack is something new that I've happened upon that will make you say goodbye to the slide show players you've previously used.
Gone are the days of selecting and uploading the pics you want to share one by one. With Fliptrack the ease and speed of creating a slide show to share with your friends and family has never been easier.
When you first go to the site you need to simply download the Fliptrack tool, which takes just a matter of minutes. Once you've successfully installed the software you are ready to go, and there are only 4 easy steps to a movie of your own.
First you select the song that you want to use. Each is pre-licensed and can be used on any site you wish to post your slide show. Or share through email with friends and family. Next you select the pics that you want in your slide show. There are easily viewed thumb nails where you need only select and add. You can even utilize the ctrl button to add multiple pics at a time.
Once you've selected the pics you make sure that they are in the oder that you like. You can drag and drop, the method that I prefer, the pics to the location you like or select the pic and move them with the directional buttons. When you're happy with the order you can select from different effects to make your movie truly unique. And that's it. You then need only create your movie and upload your movie to the Fliptrack website which is all accomplished by clicking the done button.
I love Fliptrack and will be using it frequently for my photo sharing purposes. Check it out. I bet it will make a believer out of you too.
Just Say Hi!
Well that's the first step to many social exchanges but in this case I'm talking about a new dating site.
Just Say Hi is the newest dating site out there. And the best thing about this site is that it's completely free. You can do all the things that you can do on the other dating sites only it's free.
Signing up is really easy too. All you do is fill in some generic info about yourself, create a screen name and tell everyone a little about yourself. You even have the option of uploading a photo. Then after verifying your email your good to go. You can search for people specific to the area that you live in or anywhere in the US. The search allows you to be really generic or you can get really specific and only search for those that have the same interests as you.
Something else that's nice about this particular site is the profile section. You will have created a profile that's much like that of another popular site we all know where you can add friends. So when you're viewing someone if you see someone that suits your fancy you can just click right on over to their profile to see if they are indeed a match for you.
I've only just signed up for Just Say Hi so there are features I've yet to explore but I'm going to stick with it. Is Just Say Hi the answer to the frugal minded single person's prayer? We shall see. Stay tuned and go on over there. Unless your married or otherwise taken. Sorry but we don't want you there. If none of the above applies to you come on over and see what you're missing at Just Say Hi!
Happy Hump Day!
It's Wednesday. That's what's going on in my world. Really. That's it. I mean the Bug is good and things are flowing along relatively normally so nothing really to report.
I leave tomorrow for our weekend with Daddy and hopefully a little more fun then this past weekend. This past weekend was spent in Beaumont settling in and getting things that Chad needed. He's got himself a nice little setup and I truly hope that this is the beginning of some new found independence for him. Chad has, for at least the last 10 years or so, been in a situation where he has to depend on someone else for his survival. Having to pay child support on 5-6 kids kind of does that to you.
Well with the break up came the opportunity for him to live for himself and his son. He's living in a nice apartment with a male roommate and he actually has a space that is not completely dominated by a woman. Also, and this is something that I think Grayson really needed, visitations are now spent as a family. A broken family but as a family none the less. All Grayson knows is that he's getting the best of both worlds. He's getting time with his Daddy, whom he adores. Refer to my previous blog and the video. And he gets me there at the same time. He's finally getting those memories that I worried he would lack. I know. Maybe I'm worrying to much about Grayson's well being. But that's what I am. A worrier. And an over analyzer.
Grayson seems to love having both of around at the same time. It was something that, to tell you the truth, I was a little worried about. Aside from weekend visitations and 1 or 2 get together's it has been this way since Grayson was about 6 months old. But it's amazing how easily you fall into the Mommy Daddy routine when you've been so used to doing it on your own for so long. But I think that this is going to be great for everyone involved all the way around.
Say Goodbye to Grayson's Curls!
Yep! That's right. I gut them off. I took Grayson a few weeks ago and got his hair cleaned up. mainly just a little off here and there and then trimming of the bangs. Well all I got was grief for it. Daddy was constantly telling me how badly the hair cut looked. So one night I got the clippers out and a 1/2 inch comb and off they came. Bye Bye Curls. They will grow back. But at the same time I'm torn. I don't know which I like best. Him with his curls. Or without. What do you think? I'll post pics of each and you let me know.

So just comment and let me know!

My Bug Loves his Daddy!
Lord knows that I have my problems with the turd but Grayson loves him.
I've gotten to recently discover this because Chad, that's Grayson's Daddy, has been staying with us until he moves to Beaumont. Well anyway. Chad works nights so when Grayson wakes up Chad is usually sleeping. Grayson always wakes up to ask where his Daddy is and then proceeds to drape himself across him and watch him sleep. All the while with a cheesy grin. It's really the sweetest thing.
So from now on when I'm having trouble with whatever little quirk it is that's decided to rear it's ugly head I'll just refer to this blog and the video that I'm about to post. No matter how much I may want to kill him Grayson loves him and that's all that matters.
